Day 1When you arrive into Kathmandu airport, you will be met by the Whitewater Adventures Nepal Expedition Leader and transferred to the hotel to relax or recover from jetlag and welcome dinner in evening talk about the trip.

Day 2After breakfast we will take you to our bus from your hotel which is five or ten minutes and we will put all the bags in the bus. We will drive approximately 2 and a half hrs to the lower Bhote Kosi River. You will get magnificent views of the Everest Mountain Range. Paddle beautiful class 2- 3 whitewater. We will have lunch along the way. Camp on the riverbank.

Day 3 Paddle the Balephi Khola river taking in stunning views of Everest on a clear day. The Balephi Khola is one of the smaller tributaries of the Sun Kosi and is a lovely tight boulder strewn river with crystal clear water. We will paddle this lovely jewel of a river down into the Sun Kosi. Take out and drive with private bus up the Bhote Kosi River valley that leads to Tibet. Camp approximately 20 kilometers from the border of Tibet and Nepal at the put in of the famous Upper Bhote Kosi River.

This river starts in Tibet and flows through the Himalayas of Nepal. It joins forces with the Indrawati River at Dolalghat and becomes the Sun Kosi River. Bhote is a Nepalese word which translates to Tibet and because of where this river comes from it is known as the Bhote Kosi .It is one of the best kayaking and rafting trips in the world with continuous big volume and steep whitewater rapids. Frog in the Blender, Carnal Knowledge, Liquid Bliss, the Great wall and many more rapids will have you feeling exhilarated when you arrive at the take out point of the river.

Day 4 Paddle the Upper Bhote Kosi River. An awesome day of amazing whitewater class 3- 5 continuous rapids. Scouting the bigger rapids to make sure everyone feels comfortable on this section. There is the possibility of rafting if people are not keen to paddle kayaks on this section. After a fantastic days paddling drive back to Kathmandu in private bus approximately 2 and half hrs. Relax in hotel and have a nice hot shower.

Day 5Have breakfast and spend the day getting prepared for Tamur trekking and whitewater paddling trip. Your expedition leader will meet you in your hotel after lunch and we will depart for our over night bus journey in private bus at around 4pm. This journey will take approximately 16 hrs overnight to Basantapur.

Day 6Arrive at Basantapur and have lunch. Get organized for trekking leaving the next morning. Stay overnight in lodge in Basantapur.

Day 7After breakfast begin trekking which will take you through beautiful woods and meadows with magnificent views of Kanchenjunga, Makalu and the Everest massif in the far distance. After approximately 6 to 7   hrs walk arrive at Chauki or Holy lake Gupha Pokhari and camp. ( elevation 2850 metres )

Day 8Today you will continue trekking up to the ridge through picturesque rhododendron forest and enjoy the spectacular views. The path winds gently up and down through ancient moss covered trees and after approximately 6 to 7 hrs you will reach the top of the ridge at 2980 metres. Set up camp near the village of Gorja ( elevation 1925 metres).

Day 9 Trek for approximately 4 hrs or so down to Dobhan which is the starting point of the white water kayaking rafting on the Tamur River. ( elevation 640 metres). Pump up the rafts and get everything ready for the whitewater trip starting next day. Relax and camp overnight on the riverside beach.

Day 10 – 14 Whitewater Kayaking and rafting on the Tamur River. The volume in November is around 5250cfs and we will paddle 131 kms ( 82 miles ).

“Tamur River ( Grade 3-4 ) The Tamur River flows from the mighty Kanchenjunga mountain which is the third highest peak in the world. This trip combines fantastic whitewater and one of the most beautiful short treks in Nepal. It has spectacular views of Mt. Everest, Kanchenjunga and Makalu as you traverse  along a ridgeline over 2800 metres.3 days trekking and 6 days rafting/kayaking the river is a beautiful turquoise colour and each day there are big volume rapids of class 3-4. Camping is on beautiful sandy beaches along the river and there is plenty of time for exploring and beach volleyball. “

Day 14 The last day of whitewater rafting on the Tamur will take you down to the confluence of the Tamur and Sun Kosi Rivers. Over 30 rapids of fun class 3 and 4 white-water makes this a fantastic day of paddling. Camp at the confluence of the Tamur and Sun Kosi Rivers.

Day 15Paddle down to the take out of the Sun Kosi river stopping along the way at the Bharah temple. Lunch and then overnight bus trip back to Kathmandu approximately 15 hrs arriving @ 9 am the following morning. NB: There is the option here to take a 35 minute flight back to Kathmandu which will cost an additional US$ 165- for flight. This flight will depart from Biratnagar which is about an hours drive from the take out at Chatra.

Day 16 You will be dropped off at your hotel and then can spend the rest of the day shopping and relaxing in Kathmandu. Enjoy a nice hot shower and get ready for celebration dinner! Stay overnight in hotel.
